Cruising the Creekwalk 5K

Dear runners,

After feedback from the EMA on the threat of severe icy conditions in our area on Saturday morning and careful thought about the safety of our runners, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the in person Cruising the Creekwalk 5K for this year.

Instead, we will offer a Virtual option. Pivoting to virtual will allow our runners to do the 5K AND keep everyone safe.

Here's how it works: 

• Pick up your race shirt: Stop by the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce to pick up your race shirt (beginning Thursday). Shirts can be mailed to out-of-town runners if requested.
• Complete the race: Run or walk the 5K distance on your own schedule, using the Creekwalk route attached or the route of your choice! You have from now until January 20 to complete a 5K.
• Submit results: Results will be submitted by an App or sent in manually. We will send out more details on this later in the week.
• Awards: We will compare results of all entries and award 1^st & 2^nd place in each age group and 1^st place overall male and female runners. We will announce the winners on our Facebook page. Medals can be picked up at the Chamber or mailed if requested.

The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce is located at 131 N Court St, Prattville 36067. They are open Mon-Fri 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

We are sad we will not get to see all of you in person but hope you upload your pictures to our Cruising the Creekwalk Facebook page so we can see you that way!

Join us for our Annual Cruising the Creekwalk 5K through beautiful, historic downtown Prattville.

RACE HIGHLIGHTS:
- New and improved race route!
- Awards in 5 year age groups!
- Proceeds benefit the Youth Leadership Autauga County program!

The 5K will start and end at the Doster Memorial Community Center located at 424 S Northington St. Prattville, AL, 36067. This beautiful course will take you along the Autauga Creek and through historic downtown Prattville. Water stations will be located at the halfway and finish points.

REGISTRATION:
$30.00 Early bird registration (now - Dec 20)
$35 registration after Dec 20
$40 registration the day of

Shirts are only guaranteed for runners registering by December 20th. Packet pickup and race day registration will be held at the Doster Memorial Community Center beginning at 7:30 am on January 11, 2025.
